Guinness Nigeria has announced plans to cease the importation and sale of certain Diageo international premium spirits products, including Johnnie Walker, Baileys, Singleton, and others. Guinness Nigeria generated N14 billion, representing 6% of the companys total revenues from imported diageo products. Diageo launches and prices two-tranche $1.7 billion fixed rate usd denominated bonds. Diageos is a global leader in beverage alcohol. Diageo has filed a countersuit against former partner Sean “Diddy” Combs in New York state court. The company claims its executives were available to hear all of Mr. Combs claims. The history between these two entities is long and contentious. Diddy started his relationship with Diageo in 2007 when they collaborated on marketing the vodka brand Ciroc. The rap moguls company Combs Wines And Spirits (CWS) formed a joint venture to launch the DeLeón tequila brand in 2013. Diageo has asked the New York Supreme Court to drop the lawsuit Diddy filed against the spirits maker. The rapper accused the spirits company of racial discrimination and alleged it neglected his DeLeón brand. The company claims Combs demanded millions of dollars more, threatening to accuse the company of racism if that didnt happen. Diageo agreed to pursue a similar partnership deal regarding the DeLéon tequila brand in 2013. Compared to more popular tequila brands in Diageos portfolio,  DeLéón only received distribution of 3.3% in retail liquor stores. Diageo has labeled Combs as an “unreliable and untrustworthy business partner” Sean ‘Diddy Combs says Diageos neglected DeLeon Tequila brand, impacting its sales. Combs suggests this was due to DiageO perceiving DeLeon as a Black brand. Diageo is listed on both the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE: DEO) and the London Stock Exchange. Shares of NYSE:DEO opened at $150.38 on Thursday. Diageo PLC shares inched up 0.73% to £30.56 on Thursday, on what proved to be an all-around positive trading session for the stock market. The FTSE 100 Index UKX, +0.45% rising 0.53% to 7,451.54. The stock has fallen 10.24% over the past month. Diageo also alleges Combs reneged on promises to be an equal partner in the DeLeon Tequila venture and contributed only $1,000 to the business. By contrast, DiageO says it has invested more than $100m.
